Description	In June 2016, Brazilian company Socicam was awarded the 15-year contract to maintain and operate the airport located at Una, state of Bahia. The company was already responsible for operating the terminal that was a private airport owned by Hotel Transamérica until January 2016. The bidding criteria was the highest amount paid for the concession rights. Socicam presented the winning offer, a total of US$ 6.6 million (BRL 22.3 million). Other bidders were not disclosed. The contract was signed with the municipality's mayor office in June 2016, and the sponsors took over the operations in August 2016.
