Description

Description

"The #Metoo and #Timesup movements have triggered the public discussion on the issue of sexual harassment in the workplace, while employers are called to look at their own policies and procedures and take a zero-tolerance approach to this behavior. This, however, is not as easy as it sounds. Overall aim of the TEAMWORK (combaT sExuAl harassMent in the WORKplace) project is to strengthen the combat against sexual harassment in the workplace in Greece, Bulgaria, Spain and Italy. In particular, during the project lifetime consortium will develop research-based guidelines, on-line tools and capacity-building programs for HR professionals, enabling them to revise staff policies; to take action to prevent and deal with sexual harassment, as well as, to introduce measures to protect the victims, regardless their gender and job level. Concurrently, awareness raising trainings will be offered to employees of all levels. To this end, it should be noted that project’s intellectual outputs will be reviewed and evaluated by HR experts, stakeholders and component authorities. Key actors will be also invited to participate in participatory workshops with counterparts, facilitating thus multilateral constructive discussions and encouraging joint responses. Rights and obligations awareness in combination with access to guidelines, tools and trainings, will foster integration of policies and practices to address, deal and prevent sexual harassment in the public and private sector. Enhanced multi-stakeholders’ focus on the issue, will eventually lead to a positive change, as all parties need to collaborate and through TEAMWORK to address a burning issue and draw lessons that can be shared with a wide range of audience."
