Description

Description

Implementing energy efficiency measures in the central European regions often falls under the financial responsibility of public bodies. Nevertheless private actors can be actively involved through so-called Energy Performance Contracting. The project CombinES connects seven partners representing public equivalent bodies and private institutions from the energy efficiency sector who will look for solutions on how to combine energy performance contracting with subsidy programmes. As this contracting model is usually suitable for financing the energy efficiency measures with short or medium paybacks, additional financing from subsidy programmes is needed to implement energy efficiency measures with longer paybacks. The promotion and use of the method and their combination is expected to significantly increase the number of public-private energy efficiency projects.
