Founded in 2014, Coming Soon is an audiovisual production company based in Barcelona. The company has produced one feature film in 2018 and two in 2022. Coming Soon is in a moment of growth for which we have identified two clear objectives: to make the leap to international co-production, and to enter fully into the production of series, something that will allow us to strengthen our position in the market. The editorial line of Coming Soon places great importance on diversity both in front of and behind the camera. In this sense, Coming Soon especially seeks to promote gender equality, with a strong presence of women who can lead teams and tell all kinds of stories, including projects with larger budgets and commercial ambition. Coming Soon’s staff is formed at present by its CEO Marta Ramírez, producer Lluís Ruscalleda, production coordinator Mercedes Lafaja, and an external freelance development executive, Zebina Guerra. Additionally, Àngels Masclans is shareholder of the company. This application is a resubmission of the one Coming Soon presented for 2023, having done extensive additional work on all of the projects, and added a short film. The current application includes two feature films, two series and a short film. The feature films are Frontera (Border), a historical thriller set in World War II, and Los Musarañas (The Shrews), a film for young audiences. As for the series we submit as part of our slate, we have Eh, pero compensa (It’s So Worth It!), a comedy that deals with motherhood from a humorous perspective, and La bona educació (Good Education), a drama that portrays the life of an adult education school. The short film, Àvia peix (Nana Peix), is the first professional work of a young director which first student short film got great success in festivals. All the projects that are part of our slate are projects which can be exported and have transnational interest.
