EU-THREAD is a 12-month visionary endeavor aimed at cultivating a more profound understanding of key European Union themes: EU integration, common governance, and citizen mobility. This initiative will culminate in a grand closing event that brings together citizens representing diverse EU regions. Throughout the project, participants from 5 countries (RO, EL, SI, BG, IT) will engage in educational activities, interactive discussions, and collaborative initiatives designed to enrich their knowledge of the EU principles and values. The closing event will serve as the pinnacle of this endeavor, where citizens from various corners of the EU will converge to share insights, perspectives, and ideas on how to further strengthen European unity. By twining towns dialogue and collaboration among EU citizens, the project aspires to empower individuals to actively participate in the European project and become advocates for a more integrated and harmonious Europe. EU stands as a testament to regional cooperation, fostering peace, stability, and prosperity among its member states. However, the success of this remarkable project hinges not only on economic and political agreements but also on the active participation and informed engagement of its citizens. From the perspective of Integration and Citizenship, the EU-THREAD project aims to deepen our understanding of EU integration, common governance, and the significance of citizens' mobility within the EU. The debatable event ''Uniting Minds, Bridging Borders'' is a comprehensive event that commemorates the signing of the Maastricht Treaty, a pivotal moment in European history, and reflects on its impact on Europe. The event blends substantive discussions, enlightening study visits, and a celebratory atmosphere, focusing on EU integration and the concept of citizenship without borders across the EU. It will be a commemorative event that pays tribute to the pivotal Maastricht Treaty and explores its relevance in Europe 2024.
