Common Operational Partenrship FR-IC (phase 3)

COP IC + is the direct continuation of the first two phases of the Common Operational Partnership FR-Ivory Coast which started in 2020 under ISF funding. After four year of uninterrupted collaboration with services specialized in the fight against migrant smuggling and trafficking in human beings, the results achieved show the necessity to pursue the scaling-up initiated under phase 2. With the continued objective to professionalize and promote the autonomy of specialized services, the project will aim at further densifying the geographical coverage of services in order to expand the information basis of investigations. The proposed action will base itself on two of the main achievements of phase 2: the creation of an autonomous pool of trainers within ULTIM (fully functional) and the establishment of a national network of THB-SoM focal points at all border areas. The activities proposed under the present action are the result of joint assessments carried out with the beneficiary services, whose commitment to the success of this project and the overall fight against THB-SoM have been unwavering.
