For several years, Europe has faced an influx of exiles from various cultures, including musicians whose role is important for the mutual enrichment and integration. The COVID crisis has accentuated the phenomena with which the music sector is confronted: concentration of companies and fragmentation between “headliners”, emerging and exiled artists whose precariousness is increasing and who meet more difficulty entering the market. This contributes to a weakening of the base of the ecosystem, which threatens the diversity of creation. It is then necessary that small cultural companies come together around common projects to consolidate this base to tend towards more harmonious competition and maintain the diversity of creation. We are 7 cultural operators from 6 European countries, with complementary expertise, working for several years for the career development of artists, who have built the COMMON ROUTES project in order to support companies and emerging artists through a transnational cooperation on the theme of Trans-culturality with a focus on the exiled artists in the European musical ecosystem. The project consists of activities in the 6 partner countries -Residency, creation concerts -Trainings -Communication campaigns -Meeting of artists with specific audiences -Documentary film -Disc recording -European tour, streamed concerts -Final conference in Brussels, participation in trade fairs For -15 European artists including 7 exiles participating in the program and emerging artists (streamed training) -teams of partners and programmers -various audiences -media -political representatives -European institutions representatives In order to : -support the creation and circulation of transcultural artworks created by European artists -provide the artists and staff with new skills -structure the professionals With the main expected results: -consolidation of the basis of the European music ecosystem -improving the employability of emerging artists.
