Description | Commonwealth LNG is a planned liquefaction project in the US with a capacity of 9.5 million tonnes per annum. The project has reached a final investment decision and includes the closing of $9.75 billion in project financing. It is located in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, and is expected to be operational by 2030. Long-term offtake agreements have been secured with EQT, Glencore, Mercuria, Petronas, and Aramco Trading. The engineering, procurement, and construction partner for the project is Technip Energies. Abu Dhabi's Mubadala Energy holds a 24.1% stake in Caturus, the natural gas producer and liquefaction developer behind the project, and is an equity participant in the project's financing. |
