Communauté Africaine de Pratiques (AFCOP) sur la Gestion Axée sur les Résultats de Développement

The African Community of Practice on Managing for Development Results (AFCOP-MfDR) was established to build African capacity through building a network of MfDR practitioners in Africa and globally and to increase the use of MfDR best practices in public sector management. The expected outcome is to improve the performance of the public sector and accelerate implementation of the Accra Agenda for Action. The first phase of the project succeeded in achieving several outputs including the implementation of action plans for existing national COPS; establishment of new national CoPs and training of several new MfDR practitioners. The project’s success can be attributed to the use of the Bank’s field offices which were instrumental in implementing the project and supporting the individual countries to enhance capacities in this area. Approved: 106,684 (92% disbursed and balance is being returned to TCA).
