Community Centre- Upgrading and Expansion of current Facility

The project aims at transforming the existing community arena into a community centre/hub located in Hornepayne, Ontario. The project will provide opportunities for sports, recreation and culture in an accessible, and multi-use facility with extended lifecycle. The scope of the project includes upgrading the hockey arena and curling club and expanding the community centre to add a new community hub entrance with main foyer upgrades, including a universal washroom; adding a public library with a seniors’ socialization/meeting space with a kitchenette; and a fitness facility. Part of the addition will also include renovations of the interior finishes at the main lobby and curling club. The project will improve access to, and quality of, community and recreational infrastructure by providing a modern community centre and amenities that will meet community demand by providing services that will attract economic development and community growth with a focus on improving overall quality of life and inclusivity.
