Community Schools Rental Assistance Program

planned

Maryland Governor Wes Moore has announced funding for eviction and homelessness prevention through the Community Schools Rental Assistance Program. Qualified families and students in eight jurisdictions may submit applications for assistance to help pay past due rent or utility bills and costs related to renting a new home, including security deposits. To qualify, a household must have a student enrolled in a Community School in a participating jurisdiction and demonstrate an obligation to pay rent and experience housing instability, such as risk of eviction or utility shut off. Households may be eligible for up to 15 months of assistance.
