Comox - Comox Avenue Sidewalk and Bike Lanes

The project will increase active transportation in the Town of Comox by installing bike lanes and making sidewalk improvements to Comox Avenue. The dedicated bike lanes and installation of a sidewalk on the south side of the street will increase the safety of all users and promote a healthy lifestyle. The project will increase safety of the public by installing bike lanes on Comox Ave. The road is a major linkage to the town from Courtenay. This will service the portion closest to Comox. The project works include: - installation of approximately 715 m of sidewalk on the south side of the roadway; - installation of curbing, gutter, letdowns and boulevards; - installation of 1.5 m wide bike lanes; - painting, signage and markings; - landscaping and tree trimming; - drainage and driveway removal and replacement; - asphalt repair; and, - all related works.
