Description | Conagas has been distributing natural gas in Pedras Negras since 1935, but, with the change in the regulation that occurred in 1995, the company had to request a new permit to operate in the area. This new distribution permit was issued in Mar. 1997 and has a duration of 30 years (including a five-year exclusivity period). With this new contract, Conagas has agreed to invest US$ 0.6 million in the next five years to expand its network (Conagas has currently a 200 km distribution network). The company currently has 15,000 customers, but it agreed to reach 25,608 users in the next five years (mostly residential users). Southern Union Energy owns 43% of Conagas shares, while the Libson Family owns the remaining shares. None None |
