Description | Compass Nova Scotia is a not-for-profit co-operative housing provider that currently owns 76 units throughout the Province. This project would support the conversion of two buildings in Shelburne, NS and Barton, NS into 13 energy efficient affordable housing units. As part of the conversion, energy upgrades will include heat pumps, heat recovery ventilators, and envelope improvements. Compass Nova Scotia will contract local organizations in the Town of Shelburne and Municipality of Digby to complete the construction component. There is a significant need for affordable housing options in these two communities. Compass Nova Scotia will own all project assets and be the Ultimate Recipient of this funding. |
