The project´s main objective is to support the effective and efficient EUSDR implementation. By fostering the linkages among relevant stakeholders and with more effective use of valuable assets and advantages of different regions, PA8 aims to achieve a better coordination among different actors and to better involve key stakeholders in the activities of the PA 8. one of the challanges of the priority area is the lack of own financial instruments which could support it´s stakeholders. In order to provide our partners with realistic financial solutions, the PA8 plans to start a "financial dialog" with the relevant Managing Authorities. Through this excersice the PA8 will foster the better embedding of the aims of the EUSDR into further funding programmes. As the past experiences showed, some topics need to be addressed on policy level, therefore the PA8 also intends to prepare thematic policy papers in order to urge the decision makers in each Danube country to support their SMEs in this respect. However the Action Plan is not approved yet, and it is very difficult to identify which main topics we exactly will intensively foster, the project aims to address emerging topics (like digitalization, artificial intelligence etc.), those having high relevance for the SMEs in the Danube region. Through a planned high level meeting and through the inclusion of public authorities repsonsible for funding programmes, the PA8 hopes for a higher political committment towards the EUSDR. A more intensive inclusion of SMEs is also foreseen within the project. Based on the experience of the last three years it become obvious, that not only the inclusion of intermediaries, but the direct dialog with SMEs is neccesarry. Therefore the PA8 also plans to organise a so called "exchange programme" for SMEs, in order to learn their needs and provide them with an adequate exchange platform.
