Connaught Street School - Ventilation Upgrades

Installation of classroom ventilation units in Connaught Street School. Originally constructed in 1957, the school includes 13 classrooms which are naturally ventilated through exterior windows. Additions constructed in 1998 and 2015 included ventilation systems and are not included in the scope of this project. Proposed project includes the installation of vertical classroom ventilators equipped with energy recovery and electric heat to precondition outdoor air delivered to the space. Total air volume delivered to the classrooms will encourage removal of airborne contaminants. The building automation system will be expanded to include the ventilation units provide centralized control and scheduling, improving energy efficiency.
