Description
Description | The project involves construction of a deckover at Dupont Circle on Connecticut Avenue NW. The deckover will transform the space above the Connecticut Avenue underpass into a vibrant public plaza designed for strolling, relaxing, outdoor dining, working, and hosting community events. It will enhance pedestrian connections, create new opportunities for public art and cultural programming, and add green space in the Dupont Circle neighborhood. Service lanes on Connecticut Avenue NW will be closed between Q Street NW and Dupont Circle for the duration of the project, which is anticipated to take approximately two years to complete. Work on the streetscape portion began earlier in the summer. |
