Description
Description | The Connecting Power project aims to strengthen the capacity of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to provide safe and inclusive services for victims of gender-based violence (GBV) against women, girls, and children in all their diversity in six European countries: Italy, Greece, Spain, Serbia, Romania, and Albania. This initiative builds on lessons from previous DAPHNE-funded projects, of partner organisations. To achieve its general objective, the Project will carry out key actions. A Feminist Sub-granting Schemes for GBV Prevention and Response according to an intersectional approach will be developed with the Launch of national calls in Italy, Greece, and Spain, along with transnational calls involving Italy-Serbia, Spain-Romania, and Greece-Albania. The calls will fund at least 39 projects and 60 CSOs fostering cross-country cooperation. A capacity-sharing program for CSOs will include needs assessments, training, mentoring, and national and international workshops for mutual learning and support in the full implementation of the VAW Directive. A communication strategy will ensure the visibility of the project and its impact at local, national, and EU levels, reaching at least 125,000 citizens. Influencing events and an international conference will reach at least 624 professionals, policy makers, public authorities and activists to leverage awarded projects results and implement policy recommendations developed. |
