Description | "INFAB HUB is a significant strategic initiative poised to accelerate the digital transformation of the industrial landscape within Galicia, Spain, and extending its impact to Northern Portugal. INFAB HUB’s main goal is to integrate leading-edge digital technologies into four key industries: Automotive, Metal Mechanics & Transportation; Aeronautics and Aerospace; Naval-Marine; and Textile-Fashion. This initiative aims to bolster their competitiveness, resilience, and innovative capacity. The consortium promotes a balanced set of profiles based in Galicia and Northern Portugal, that are well-suited to supporting industrial companies in their digital transformation process. The consortium includes some of the leading industry associations, universities and technology centers, knowledge transfer organizations, and innovative companies. INFAB HUB has been founded in 2019 and recognized with a Seal of Excellence by the European Commission. In the upcoming 2026-2028 period, INFAB HUB will consolidate and significantly enhance its operations. The updated service portfolio to be provided by INFAB HUB includes a complete set of services, focusing on industrial needs while integrating a reinforced AI focus into the Hub activities. INFAB HUB has the appropriate capabilities and knowledge to provide services under an approach of ""one-stop shop,"" providing services based on the four pillars: collaboration and networking ecosystems, test before invest, digital skills, and funding support. INFAB HUB will also provide a first-line AI help desk to businesses, including basic information on compliance with the AI Act. The consortium is committed to support the adoption of the most relevant digital technologies and make the resources provided by the European AI ecosystem (TEFs, AI Factories and AI-on demand platform) available to companies. This collaboration will be pivotal for bringing advanced European AI resources to the local level. Several LoI reinforce this commitment." |
