Description | The Constitution Pipeline is a proposed natural gas pipeline project intended to carry shale gas from Pennsylvania into the Northeast region. The project had been stalled and considered nearly dead due to strong environmental opposition and failure to secure necessary permits. Under the Trump administration, the project is being revived with efforts to secure water-quality certification and other permits. The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation is reviewing the application with a decision expected by the end of November 2025. |
