The Constâncio Vaz Guimarães Sports Complex (Ibirapuera Complex) project involves a strategic concession of use designed to modernize approximately 91,800 m² of prime urban space while preserving its core public and sporting purpose. Under the supervision of environmental and heritage preservation authorities, the project seeks to revitalize existing infrastructure to better accommodate a diverse range of sports practices and cultural activities. The private partner will be responsible for the recovery and maintenance of the site, with specific goals to expand public access, improve safety and sustainability, and diversify the programs available to the local community. By integrating private management with strict usage guidelines, the project aims to qualify the facility as a high-standard venue for both high-performance training and general public leisure, ensuring the complex remains a functional landmark within São Paulo’s sporting landscape.TheConstâncio Vaz Guimarães Sports Complexspans approximately 105,000 square meters and comprises several major facilities, including the Geraldo José de Almeida Gymnasium, Ícaro de Castro Mello Stadium, Caio Pompeu de Toledo Aquatic Complex, Mauro Pinheiro Multi-Sports Gymnasium, and the Judo Palace. The proposed project involves granting a 35-year concession for its use, encompassing the development, upkeep, and management of a new multi-purpose arena designed to host sports, music, cultural, and religious events, with a capacity of up to 20,000 spectators, along with additional related facilities.
