Information Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd., Government of Rajasthan has come up with Construction of 2x500MVA, 400/220KV GSS at Kumher with a ticket size of 491.05 INR Crores. This project in Electricity Transmission sub-sector involves The current status of the project is DPR/Feasibility Study and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project To obvite tranmission constraints and mitigate problem of low voltage in bharatpur dsitrict by creation 400 KV GSS at Kumhar . 400 kV GSS Hindaun and 400 kV GSS Alwar are main feeding source of the Hindaun, Dholpur, Bharatpur and Alwar region. Due to radial nature of these GSS on 400 kV voltage level network, there is heavy voltage variations in this region. Creation of 400 kV GSS Kumher will take these GSS in ring system which improve the voltage profile of various substations in the region. Hence, creation of 400 kV GSS at Kumher will help to meet future load demand of the Bharatpur and Alwar regions. This will also help to reduce dependency on the PGCILs 400 KV GSS Agra.
