Description

Description

The main objective of this project is to implement a Hydrogen Refuelling Station (HRS), the second in Greece, for passenger, light-duty and long-haul heavy-duty vehicles, reducing the environmental footprint of vehicles travelling along the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T). The HRS will be deployed inside a new service station of the beneficiary (AVIN), on the TEN-T core road network in the area of Akrata (Achaia, Western Greece) along the “Orient/East-Med” Corridor. The project is part of a wider global project “BLUE MED”, undertaken by the Applicants with the aim of becoming large-scale suppliers of green hydrogen in Greece. It will deploy the second HRS, while first is implemented in the REA Project (101079451 — 21-EL-TC-REA) funded by the Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Facility. The green hydrogen will be supplied by an innovative 30 MW electrolyser, which is part of the global project, and funded by the Clean Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (HE program) under the project EPHYRA. The HRS will supply the hydrogen produce at 350 and 700 bar and will be fully operational and 24/7 available for users. The project includes the procurement, civil works and installation, testing and commissioning. Other tasks such as the basic design, the licensing, engineering are part of the global project.
