Construction of a new library in Sainte-Marie

The project consists of building a municipal library in the City of Sainte-Marie. This is a relocation of the current library due to the risk of flooding. The new library will be located in the heart of the Cité Sainte-Marie (building not currently built) with an area of 1,458 m2. The new infrastructure will create a safe place accessible to all. The list of main works is: • Construction of a new building • Study of archaeological potential • Excavation and foundation • Construction of the building and interior divisions • Installation of mechanical systems (HVAC) • Acquisition of specialized equipment pre-approved by Infrastructure Canada - shelving The new municipal library of the City of Sainte-Marie will offer more spacious and welcoming spaces for citizens. Thus, this project will allow the City of Prévost to offer its population a better quality cultural infrastructure and improved access.
