Information Bengaluru Metro Rail has come up with Construction of Bangalore Metro Rail Project Phase 2. with a ticket size of 30695.12 INR Crores. This project in Metro sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Notice to Proceed and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project Phase-2 of the Bangalore Metro Rail Project was sanctioned by GoI in February 2014 and works were commenced in February 2016. The project consists of four extensions to the existing lines and two new lines. The total length of Phase-2 is 75.06 kms GoI approved length is 72.095 Kms with 61 stations [49 elevated and 12 underground]. The estimated project cost is Rs. 30,695.12 Crore GoI Approved Cost is Rs. 26,405.14 Cr Plus GoK approved for increase in land cost of Rs. 4289.98 Cr.. Reach-4 Extension having length of 6.12 Kms was commissioned on 14.01.2021. Reach-2 Extension having length of 7.53 Kms was commissioned on 29.08.2021. Presently, all the Civil works for the entire network are in progress. Entire Project is programmed to complete by March 2025.
