Description | With respect to the Kenyan market, there is an increase in the demand for warehouse space in various locations which are in close proximity to logistics hubs and transportation networks thus we are looking to have commercialization of opportunities arising for purposes of mutual revenue sharing for sustainable revenue generation especially on utilities and expanded ground rent opportunities due to larger deployment Manufacturing is a priority sector for the economic pillar of Kenya’s Vision 2030, with strong forward and backward linkages with other sectors of the economy. The sector has accounted for an average of 8.5% of GDP in the past five years. Manufacturing is a critical sector identified in the “Big 4 agenda” of the government, envisioned to support value addition and grow its GDP contribution to 15% by 2022, this provides an opportunity for more industrial to locate in Kenya which will utilize the warehouses. Manufacturing is a priority sector for the economic pillar of Kenya’s Vision 2030, with strong forward and backward linkages with other sectors of the economy. The sector has accounted for an average of 8.5% of GDP in the past five years. Approximately 3,700 firms involved in manufacturing make up the formal sector i.e. SMEs and Large enterprises with a rapidly expanding informal sector.
