Information New Academic Complex II building is an RCC framed structure with basement plus G plus 6 storeys and a built up area of 33921 Sq.m. The orientation of the building is in East West Direction for adequate air circulation and to minimize solar heat. There is a common entry with a lobby for faculty and students. Courtyards are provided for better light and ventilation. The planning is in such a way that there is natural light in every room. The building is designed for GRIHA 4-star rating with various green building measures adopted in design and construction stage. Reduction in water consumption is achieved by usage of Treated waste water for flushing and landscaping. Both the Surface and Roof Rainwater is treated & reused for Potable water consumption. Rainwater recharge pits are also provided inside the site. Existing trees are retained to the maximum extent and some are transplanted and preserved. Solar Power panels are adopted to reduce the energy consumption of the building. Low energy & Recycling materials are used for the building construction.
