Construction of New Pedestrian Facilities

The project consists of constructing new sidewalks and multi-use trails where gaps exist to improve access to transit stops in Thunder Bay, Ontario. The project scope includes approximately 9.6 km of new sidewalks and trail extensions including one bridge river crossing: sidewalk will be minimum 1.5 m wide and will include curb drops with tactile plates to meet AODA standards, and multi-use trails are constructed to a 3.0 m wide standard. The project will result in improved capacity and/or quality of pathways and/or active transportation infrastructure in the City of Thunder Bay, Ontario.
