Description | The Project will replace the former Forks Road Bridge lift structure over the unused portion of the Welland Canal in Welland. The work will involve installing sheet piles around the existing piers back to the shoreline on either side of the Canal and fill the intervening space from the piers to the shoreline with granular fill, modifying the approach works to elevate/widen the existing road to match the new structure as required. A new bridge with a span of approximately 68.5 metres will then be installed between the piers. |
