Description

Description

Continental film is a family-run film distribution company based in Slovakia. Founded in 1997, it has been successfully distributing Warner Bros. theatrical releases, independent films primarily from Europe, and local Slovak productions. With a diverse and comprehensive portfolio, Continental film has brought to audiences some of the most successful titles in recent decades, including Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts, Interstellar, and Two Is a Family, Barbie etc. With over 20 years of experience, the company is now recognized as one of the leading film distributors in Slovakia. As of December 31, 2023, there were officially registered distribution companies in the Czech republic, marking an important step in the company’s regional growth. In its first year of operation, the Czech branch successfully distributed 14 theatrical releases, further strengthening the company’s footprint and reputation in Central Europe. Our portfolio primarily consists local indies, followed by a strong selection of European non-national films—especially French, Poland productions. Thanks to our long-standing presence and deep market insight, we tailor marketing and distribution strategies to each title with the goal of achieving the best possible results.
