This project is implemented by the Consortium for the AREA of scientific and technological research of Trieste, that already participated in three project editions, financed by the ESF (European Social Fund). The professional figure proposed - ISTAT code 3.1.2.4 - is that of a highly qualified and specialised technician, who can function in various professional environments, ranging from the classic industrial sector of automated production to technological research, the development of civil production, logistics and goods handling, industrial and civil climate control, electronic production, remote surveillance and security through digital image processing, etc. Now adapted to the cross-border context between Italy and Slovenia and updated in its original contents, the project aims at developing a collaboration among secondary schools, research and enterprises, while ensuring at the same time to the participants good employments prospects. In this sense, in order to overcome the barrier represented by the border, the subjects involved in the training and internship phases are both of Italian and Slovenian nationality, through exchanges also intended to improve mutual knowledge and favour the integration of training and production systems and labour market systems, in a technologically advanced sector characterised by constant progress and compatible with a sustainable development of the cross-border territory.
