Controlling rising water levels in the provinces of Ninh Binh, Ha Tinh and Can Tho

The project aims to adapt to the increase in the frequency and violence of extreme climate events and the rising sea levels in the provinces of Ninh Binh, in the south of the Red River Delta (an essential region for water supply and storage during the dry season), Ha Tinh, in the coastal region of the central north, and in the city of Can Tho, in the Mekong Delta (a region highly vulnerable to the consequences of climate change). The project has three components:Construction of a sluice dam in Kim Dai, in Ninh Binh Province.Rehabilitation of the irrigation-drainage system in Thach Ha District, in Ha Tinh Province.Surfacing of the banks of the Can Tho River.The specific objectives of the three subprojects are basically the same:Secure the economy of the province and particularly its agricultural economy. Ensure the security of people and goods.Improve health conditions for populations. Build the management capacities of public bodies.Improve the general environment of the landscape in Can Tho Province.
