• The project consists of purchasing 3 conventional diesel transit buses and associated on-board equipment in Peterborough, Ontario. • The 3 new buses will replace existing vehicles that have reached the end of their life cycle. The buses will be fully-accessible. In addition to the buses, on-board equipment such as fareboxes, intelligent transportation system (ITS) equipment, passenger counters, and security cameras will be purchased and installed. The project will contribute to a more reliable and efficient transit fleet and will modernize the transit system for an improved customer experience. • The project will result in improved capacity, quality, safety and accessibility of the public transit system in Peterborough, Ontario.
