Conventional Transit Vehicle Expansion

• The project consists of the purchasing of 11 new 40-feet conventional diesel buses (over the next five years) to increase the fleet servicing the City of Burlington. • The goal is to increase the transit modal split by 10% making transit more efficient and convenient for riders, increasing service frequency and enabling connections between bus routes, regional transit, potentially increasing ridership by 2% every year. • The project will lead to improved capacity, quality, and safety of existing and future public transit system infrastructure as well as improved access to the public transit system in the City of Burlington, Ontario.
