• The project will replace eight diesel buses at the end of their useful life with eight battery-electric buses. The project will assist in Oakville Transit’s transition to a low-carbon fleet; eliminate the noise pollution of bus operations in residential areas; and reduce the transit fleet’s overall operation, maintenance and lifecycle costs. • The full scope of the project includes the purchase of eight battery electric buses and eight heavy-duty charging stations and associated infrastructure, which will be installed at Oakville Transit’s Maintenance and Storage Facility.
