• The project will replace eight diesel buses at the end of their useful life with eight battery-electric buses. The project will assist in Oakville Transit’s transition to a low-carbon fleet; eliminate the noise pollution of bus operations in residential areas; and reduce the transit fleet’s overall operation, maintenance and lifecycle costs. • The full scope of the project includes the purchase of eight battery 40’ electric buses. • The project will result in the improved capacity, quality and safety, and access to the public transit system, and increase access to clean energy transportation in the Town of Oakville, Ontario.
