Description | The proposed project is a 5 year Credit Line for up to CRC 7.5 billion (USD 15 million equivalent). Coopenae (the “Company”) offers an attractive business opportunity for IFC to support a well performing and growing finance company to further grow its presence in Costa Rica as well as supporting its expansion into the MSMEs segment. The proceeds from the credit line will be used to increase, diversify and extend the duration of Coopenae’s funding base by obtaining medium-term financing for on lending to consumer, housing and MSMEs in Costa Rica. The IFC loan will also mobilize additional financing from another IFI for equal value, for a total of $30 million equivalent. |
