Description

Description

The 2025 project intends to support the implementation of the EPSR at the EU and national level notably by collecting and exchanging good practices, providing recommendations for policy design to the EU institutions, and facilitating mutual learning related to cooperatives contributing to quality employment, social inclusion, and combatting poverty, and to support the European Semester process at EU and national levels. In particular, the project will be directly and concretely supporting the implementation and awareness raising of the upcoming EU policy initiatives that are relevant to the core mission of CECOP, mainly the Council Recommendations on Social Economy, EU Social Economy Action Plan, EU Care Strategy, and the Directive on Platform Work. It also intends to reinforce the capacity of CECOP’s network (and its members) to contribute actively to developing and implementing EU policies in quality employment, social inclusion, and combatting poverty. More specifically, the project will focus on implementing the EPSR principles such as Education, training, and life-long learning; Secure and adaptable employment; Long-term care; and Access to essential services. It will bring a cooperative dimension to the mentioned topics and provide the European Commission with recommendations for further policy design in those fields. The project will help CECOP’s Polish members better engage with the EU and be involved in implementing the Council Recommendations at the national level, in cooperation with other stakeholders (national governments and civil society). It will also allow members to learn from each other and transpose solutions from one country to another to be more effective in implementing the EPSR. The project will reinforce the capacities of CECOP to better engage with its members (through statutory meetings) and the members (visits to the EU institutions).
