Description

Description

The project intends to support the implementation of the EPSR at EU and national level notably by collecting and exchanging good practices, providing recommendation for policy design to the EU institutions and facilitating mutual learning related to cooperatives contributing to quality employment, social inclusion and combatting poverty, and also to support the European Semester process at EU and national levels. It also intends to reinforce the capacity of the CECOP network (and its members) to contribute actively to the development and implementation of EU policies in the areas of quality employment, social inclusion and combatting poverty. More specifically, the project will focus on the implementation of the EPSR principles such as Education, training and life-long learning; Gender equality; Equal opportunities; Secure and adaptable employment; Long-term care; and Access to essential services. It will bring the cooperative dimension to the mentioned topics, and provide European Commission with recommendations for further policy design in those fields. The project will help CECOP’s members to better engage with the EU and be involved in the implementation of the EPSR at national level, in cooperation with other stakeholders (national governments and civil society). It will also allow members to learn from each other and transpose solutions from one country to another in order to be more effective in the implementation of the EPSR. The project will reinforce the capacities of CECOP to better engage with its members (trough statutory meetings) and become an organization applying gender and diversity criteria in all of its activities. In conclusion, the project will help CECOP to promote cooperatives, a sustainable business model promoting quality work and social justice and to contribute to building a stronger and fairer social Europe.
