Description | This project's goal was to improve water quality and the riparian corridor health along a 1600-foot, poorly vegetated reach of Copeland Creek, within the Laguna de Santa Rosa Watershed. This was accomplished by installing nearly 900 trees, shrubs, and willows (12 different species total), along the creek located on two mixed-use agricultural properties. The RCD worked with Point Blue Conservation Science: STRAW project to install the plants with 5 different local elementary and middle schools. The plants were installed over two years and maintained for additional 5 years by RCD staff. |
