Copeval is Chile's largest agricultural input distributor reaching 50,000 farmers through its 24 stores and 3 distribution centers strategically spread across the country's agricultural regions. Copeval provides agricultural inputs such as crop protection products, fertilizers, seeds, machinery, irrigation equipment, fuel, and animal feed for the fruit, grain, cattle, and dairy sectors. It also provides intermediation services, logistic services, technical assistance, and training for farmers. IFC will be supporting Copeval's permanent working capital needs that are essential to finance the pre-harvest inputs and services to its network of farmers. IFC will subscribe securitized senior notes in CLP equivalent to up to US$25 million that will be structured through a securitization of Copeval's farmers receivables.
