COSME Enterprise Europe Network 2020-2021 in the Basque Country

The Basque Enterprise Europe Network project for 2020-2021 aims to contribute to the objectives of the COSME program by facilitating access to European and international markets for the Basque SMEs and by providing growth oriented, integrated business and innovation support services that help strengthen the competitiveness and sustainability of all our enterprises. Our intention is to primarily address SMEs that seek to exploit new opportunities in the Single Market, but also in third countries. Basque SMEs’ main needs can be summarized in the following: i) financial resources; ii) innovation management capacities; iii) integrate in the business model innovation, technology, design and advance marketing approaches; iv) enhance cooperation spirit and v) internationalization support. The area addressed by this project is the whole Basque Country region labeled with ES21 NUTS code. This project is composed of the same 6 partners that have been running the Enterprise Europe Network in this region since its creation in 2008. Our intention is therefore to keep on building a professional service Network with a long term vision. Furthermore, as a strategic positioning, we set the objective of being among the ones that are above the average in performing consortia in the Network. That is, significantly advance on our current results and therefore improve our today’s ranking because our vocation is to be part of a long term and solid operating Network. For the purpose of this action, the Basque Node`s primary target audience are small and medium sized enterprises. Our general services within the Network will be aimed at all SMEs, but for more tailor-made services, the Network in the Basque Country will primarily target companies with a high potential for internationalization and/or innovation. In addition, while SMEs remain the primary target audience for the Network, specific actions will be directed at other organizations.
