County of Kings - Wastewater System Upgrades

This project will provide priority upgrades to the Municipality of the County of Kings’ wastewater treatment and collection infrastructure. The treatment facility upgrades will include the addition of screening systems at the Canning, Hants Border and Aylesford wastewater treatment facilities as well as upgrades to the Canning Wastewater treatment facility to increase capacity and accommodate future growth. The wastewater collection system upgrades are comprised of the replacement of four (4) lift stations in the communities of Aldershot, Cambridge, Coldbrook and Aylesford, and construction of a 4.8 km water transmission line, in the community of Greenwood. This project will address pressing wastewater concerns across the Municipality’s wastewater system, improve the overall efficiency of the system and support new higher density housing development.
