The Lakeshore Sanitary Sewer System Expansion and Upgrade project aims to address critical wastewater infrastructure needs in the Municipality of Lakeshore, Ontario, to support long-term growth and enhance service reliability. The project includes the detailed design and construction of upsized sanitary trunk sewers, new trunk sewer installations, and pump station upgrades. Key components involve replacing the existing trunk sewer along County Road 22, constructing new trunk sewers, and upgrading pump station PS02 and PS04. The project will enable the construction of 2,523 housing units and will resolve existing capacity constraints, reduce basement flooding risks, and support future residential and commercial developments. The outcome will be improved wastewater infrastructure capacity, enabling Lakeshore to accommodate its projected population increase by 2042, fostering economic growth, and maintaining public health.
