Description | US turnkey hydrogen solutions provider Plug Power Inc has secured a front-end engineering design (FEED) assignment covering 275 MW of electrolyser capacity for German hydrogen plants developer Hy2gen AG’s Courant renewable ammonium nitrate project in Canada. The project is a decarbonised ammonium nitrate facility aimed at supporting the mining industry in Quebec, Central and Eastern Canada and beyond, utilizing Canada's abundant hydroelectric resources from the Hydro-Quebec grid. The project plans to produce 230,000 tonnes of renewable ammonia per year, with construction targeted to start in 2027 and production expected to begin in 2030. |
