Description
Description | Raising the Courtenay Bay Causeway will manage the risk of damage to, or loss of, the Courtney Bay Causeway, which in-turn would result in loss of critical transportation, potable water and power services (as described above), as well as severe flooding of inland areas along Marsh Creek. The construction of a low-head, high-flow pumping station will manage the risk of inland flooding during a storm surge and/or high tide (i.e. when natural drainage is not possible because sea level is above inland water and flood levels). |
