Description

Many micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the Democratic Republic of Congo that have been negatively affected by the Covid-19 pandemic are suffering from temporary loss of income and are threatened with bankruptcy. Jobs are at risk. Some of their financial institutions are facing payment delays and higher default rates, and some have significantly reduced loan disbursements to MSMEs. Support services can mitigate the impact on Congolese MSMEs, the financial sector and the labor market. The aim of the project is to preserve jobs by providing financial services and support measures for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and selected financial intermediaries affected by the negative economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
