Cowichan Valley - Mesachie Lake Fire Hall Retrofit

The project will renovate the Mesachie Lake Fire Hall in the Cowichan Valley Regional District. The improvements will increase the efficiency of the layout and reduce energy usage. These steps will work to increase the length of time the facility will be able to be used. The project will extend the service life of the building that serves the community with services to respond to fire, accidents and medical emergencies. The fire hall was built in 1940 and is in need of the upgrades to remain usable and efficient. The project works include: - design and engineering; - demolition of works to be replaced including above ground oil tank; - installation of HVAC; - plumbing, electrical and mechanical works; - upgrades to kitchen, bathroom and roofing; - installation of flashings and exterior wrap and exterior cladding; - installation of flooring; and, - all related works
