Description

This project is the replacement of a structurally deficient bridge on CR 125/Smoak Road over Troublesome Creek, 4 miles southeast of Sunnyside, Georgia. The existing bridge, constructed in 1959, is load limited with a sufficiency rating of 38. County Road 125 at this location is a rural two lane roadway with 11' travel lanes with rural shoulders. The construction proposes to relocate CR 125 east of its present location, extending a total of 0.263 mile. The proposed new bridge will be 100' x 40' and will be located just east of the existing bridge structure. The relocated CR 125 will consist of 2- 12' lanes with 8' rural shoulder. Traffic will be maintained on the existing bridge while the proposed bridge is constructed.
