Description

This project is the replacement of a structurally deficient bridge in Coweta County. This project will replace the bridge on County Road 130 over White Oak Creek, 3.5 miles northeast of Moreland, Georgia. The existing Bridge, constructed in 1960, is load limited with a sufficiency rating of 26. County Road 130 at this location is a rural two lane roadway with 10-f lanes with variable 3-f to 8-f grass shoulders. The proposed speed design is 55 MPH. The project will construct a new 265-f x 32-f concrete bridge over White Oak Creek at the existing bridge site. The approaches will consist of two, 12-f lanes with 8-f rural shoulders. The existing bridge will be closed to traffic during construction. Traffic will be detoured using an off-site detour.
